“We see this as a war, a battle for people, for truth . . . what is presented through so-called medicine as truth, is truth based on a bunch of people patting each other on the back with so-called science . . . ”
Chapter 28, “Star Chamber,” from the court testimony of Jim Feijo
“The Spirit was moving quickly, and perhaps there was no way around the pain for any of us at that time. . . we were trying so hard to steel ourselves with the word of God, in order to follow Him and not back
down.” Chapter 17, “Trials, Betrayal, and Blessings”
Patricia Feijo founded Daniel Chapter One in 1986 with her husband, Jim, and co-hosted the radio program Daniel Chapter One Health Watch from 1994 to 2012. A professional Homeopath since 1993, she has ministered and practiced worldwide.
Patricia Feijo and her husband developed natural dietary supplements that cured cancer and other infirmities, but the U.S. government shut them down without a single consumer complaint in thirty years or evidence of any harm.
This is their riveting story in their own words.
Called To Stand is a story of free speech, freedom of conscience, and freedom of religion. But it's also a story of government bullying and overstepping the intent of U.S. law.

From time to time we read a book that makes us slow down to take in all the details. Called to Stand: How a Small Christian Ministry Courageously Stood Up to Government Tyranny by Patricia Feijo is one of those books.
If you are a Christian, you simply must read this book.
If you believe in the freedom to choose your own health plan, you must read this book.
If you believe in the free enterprise system, you must read Called to Stand.
You should add Called to Stand to the list of gifts you give out this Christmas. This is the one gift that will work for anyone on your Christmas list that can read.

I knew Tricia through homeopathy classes we attended at the same time. We have had many online and phone conversations about homeopathy but also about Christian faith. This book demonstrates more faith than I have seen in a long, long time. Great book. Courageous people!

The authentic Jim and Tricia
By Chickenwhispereron November 12, 2017
Format: Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Jim and Tricia are as authentic and real in this book as they are in real life. I laughed with them, I cried with them, and the writing has steeled my resolve to follow God‘s word above all else in my life. I may not agree 100% with all the doctrinal issues, but one thing I do agree: serving the Lord is the greatest joy in this life and I will trade it for nothing. Just like Jim and Tricia have. Although forced to retire by the government, I know they will find a way to serve others for the rest of their lives.
"Although I knew the story, I was carried away by reviewing it in print. It is intense. Well put together and eloquent, I feel very emotional about it. It has pain, it has triumph through and with Christ over that pain."
William L. Haith, DO
"Engaging, artful, and moving. I want some of my close friends to read it, and soon! May we all learn something about living and suffering for Christ through this heartwarming and infuriating story."
